The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings at Glenridding Manor House via the www.glenriddinghouse.com / www.glenriddinghouse.co.uk/ website or bookings by telephone or email. When you make a booking, your contract, which includes these terms and conditions, will be with Ullswater Hotel Limited T/A Glenridding Manor House, Glenridding, Cumbria, Cumbria, CA11 OPH – hereafter referred to as Glenridding Manor House (private hotel).

HOUSE RULES

Third party wedding guests at the Inn on the lake

Please note:  We strictly do not accommodate third party wedding guests attending at the Inn on the lake.  Your reservation maybe cancelled at any time, without compensation whatsoever. 

Strictly : No smoking, no candle burners, no naked flames, no incense burners either inside the building or on the balcony. Anyone not conforming will be required to leave without compensation.

Adult only.

No pets.

Alcohol: Champagne, Wine and bottled beers are available to be purchased on site direct from us. 

Glenridding House is a “PRIVATE HOTEL”

Non residents are not allowed in any bedrooms.

 

We kindly ask that no walking boots or high heel shoes be worn within the house.

No take away food is allowed on or to be on or consumed in the bedrooms or anywhere on the premises.

Note: minimum two nights stay. 

PLEASE RESPECT OTHER GUESTS QUIET ENJOYMENT.

Pre-Payments

Full prepayment for your room stay is required on or before arrival. If for any reason you cancel your stay or part stay after you have arrived  for your accommodation no refund will be given. Your booking is non transferable. By paying the balance owed within the allowed timescale  ( 30days prior to stay)this will be deemed as acceptance of these terms by the guest. A valid credit or debit card details is required on check in to settle any extras incurred by the guests.

 

Booking Deposits and Cancellation By guests

In order for us to apply the direct room B&B rates at the best price available the first nights payment for your stay is due on booking (non refundable). If the guest cancels within  30 days of arrival then the full amount is due non refundable.   Payment by  visa or MasterCard by phoning 01768482874. If the guest books within 30 days of arrival the full amount is due on booking non refundable. You can do this by phoning 01768482874. You cannot transfer or reduce the duration of your stay. By booking you are agreeing to these terms.

 

Cancellation of booking by Glenridding house

Glenridding house reserve the right to cancel  any booking without compensation or recourse by the customer, there will be no compensation sought by the customer and by booking you are agreeing to this condition.

Final Payment

Prior to your departure you will be required to settle your additional extra’s account in full.

Cancellations

Your booking is non refundable and non transferable to other dates or to any third party. Glenridding house management will consider the circumstances of guest cancellations and their decision is final. You are strongly advised to have travel insurance to cover any event.

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to: accept the changed arrangements as notified; or make alternative arrangements with Glenridding Manor House; or cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to Glenridding Manor House in respect of your reservation unless you cancel for no valid reason or you do not comply with our terms and conditions or house rules, this includes  part cancelling while resident at Glenridding Manor house (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons  or third parties in connection with your reservation).

For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any online booking.

Pricing

  Prices  are per room in £’s sterling (unless otherwise stated) maximum of two adult persons per room.  Prices are subject to change without notice; we reserve the right to alter your rate should a mistake be identified. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information featured online at any time.

Occupancy

Maximum of two persons per double room. Strictly, No children or infants.

Children

Unfortunately due to the nature of Glenridding Manor house and its listed building status the premises does not accommodate for children or infants under 16 years of age. There is no room for extra beds or cots. To ensure the  safety of guests on the balconies and windows.

Single Guests

Single occupancy in double rooms will be charged at the current room rate.

Dogs

Sorry only guide dogs are allowed to stay.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly NOT allowed either inside (this includes balconies) or within 20 metres of the building or gazebo. This includes e-cigs.

Anyone found smoking or any evidence of smoking found either in rooms or within 20 metres of the building or gazebo will be told to leave the premises without refund. Their credit card will also be charged £200/room for deep cleaning if resident.

 Under no circumstances are candles or incense burners allowed in any rooms or balconies .

Checking In and Out & Arrival and Departure

Rooms are available from 3:00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 10:30AM on the day of departure, unless previously agreed.

Damage, missing items or lost key/fob

Glenridding house does not accommodate stag/hen or third party wedding guests/ groups.

Any damage missing items or lost broken/key/fob incurred by you during your stay in Glenridding House will be charged to your credit card. Lost broken/key/fob currently £100 charge.

Special Requirements

Please advise the hotel of any special dietary needs or other requirements, including mobility issues, you may have prior to arrival.

Complaints or Comments

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at Glenridding House should be made in the first instance to us without delay at the time of your stay so that all reasonable efforts can be made to resolve the situation at the time. Problems which cannot be resolved within a reasonable time then we should be notified in writing to us. The management reserve the right to refuse a guest to stay if they consider a guest is being unreasonable or abusive. The decision is final and the guest or guests will be asked to leave without refund.

Accuracy of Details

While we have tried to ensure that all information about Glenridding House facilities, attractions and events are accurate we cannot accept responsibility if this is not the case. Please do remember that facilities may alter from time to time and Glenridding House cannot be held responsible for any changes that occur or any errors or omissions in respect of the information. Liability is therefore excluded for any loss of expense incurred further to reliance upon such information.

General Information

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time. Glenridding House shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, war, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit the Company’s liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit the Company’s liability in any manner which would be unlawful.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to English Law and any dispute in relation to them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
